Twist drill assortment, MATADOR 0762

The 1x1 of the correct HSS twist drill.
HSS = high-performance high-speed steel. It shouldn't be less.

Twist drill range M 19 pcs./XL 25 pcs. Range with 19 or 25 powerful twist drills in sturdy sheet steel cassette. Can be used in steel, cast steel alloyed and unalloyed, aluminium etc. Right-cutting. From Ø 3.0 mm cross grinding according to DIN 1412 C. Spiral angle: 20 - 30°. Ø tolerance: h8. Standards: DIN 338.

HSS-R: Roll-rolled, very elastic and hard-wearing twist drill in dark grey/black. It has a high breaking strength, but is  rather unsuitable for precise boreholes. The drill is ideal for mild steel and simple steel alloys. This should be used for normal drilling with the hand drill.

HSS-G: Ground, shiny silver twist drill with a higher precision than HSS-R due to an excellent concentricity. However, it has a higher breaking strength than HSS-R. The drill is ideal for all steels with high strength of up to 900 N/mm² as well as VA material. This should be used for precision drilling in stationary drilling machines.

HSS-E: Ground, shiny silver twist drill with additional cobalt content (Co5) alloyed with a higher precision than HSS-R, due to an excellent concentricity. It has high toughness and heat resistance, but it has a higher breaking strength than HSS-R. The drill is ideal for all steels with high strength of up to 1100 N/mm² as well as VA material. This should be used for precision drilling in stationary drilling machines.
